How to sort Instagram Reels by views

Updated October 28, 2026

If you study a competitor or look for ideas, what matters is seeing the Reels that performed best on a profile first, not the latest ones. This guide shows how to do it with OrdenaFeed, a Chrome extension.

The problem

A profile’s Reels tab doesn’t tell you which Reels beat that account’s usual: you see them one after another, with no comparison. To know, you would have to open every Reel, note views, likes and comments, and do the comparison yourself.

Step by step

  1. Install the extension. OrdenaFeed is on the Chrome Web Store. It works on desktop Chrome, not on mobile or Safari.
  2. Open the profile’s Reels tab. Go to instagram.com signed in, open the profile and click Reels. This matters: Instagram’s main grid doesn’t show views, only the Reels tab does. On the main grid the extension computes from likes and warns you.
  3. Click “↕ Ordenar”. It is the black button at the bottom right, or the extension icon if you want to choose how many posts and which period.
  4. Wait without scrolling. A yellow layer shows progress: it loads the Reels, fills in each one’s likes, comments and date, and re-orders the grid itself with the best on top.
  5. Read the result. A viewer opens, post by post. With ☰ Lista you get the profile summary (posts, median, best outlier, how many beat 3×) and can switch the criterion: outlier, views, likes, comments, engagement or date.

How to read the order

The default order is the outlier score: each Reel’s views divided by the profile’s median views. That way a Reel with 20,000 views can be a big win on a small account and ordinary on a big one. A Reel that beats 3× the median deserves study: topic, hook, length, caption.

Export

From the panel you can export results to CSV or JSON, or copy them to paste into Google Sheets.

Limits to keep in mind

  • The free version analyzes up to 30 posts per profile, with every feature. Full profiles need a license.
  • It only reads what the page has already loaded; it doesn’t access private data.
  • If Instagram rate-limits requests, the extension pauses to protect your account. Wait a few minutes and click again.
  • If Instagram changes its design, reading may fail until the extension is updated.
  • The extension’s interface is currently in Spanish.
